This is a brief overview of the services I offer. For more details head over to my services page here. I offer a free sample edit of 5000 words for a developmental edit and 1000 words for a copyedit or proofread.

Is this your first or second draft? Do your characters feel like they fall flat on the page? Are you unsure if your story's plot flows smoothly? If you answered 'yes', then you most likely need a developmental edit. We'll work together as we touch on character development, plot, overall tone, consistency and style.
COPYEDIT
Exceed Expectations
After your book has gone through a developmental edit I'll help you fine-tune your sentences. This is where I focus in on the smaller details. I'll check for errors and consistency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
PROOFREAD
Polished Perfection
This will be your final draft and where I focus on polishing up your work so it's ready to be published. While checking for grammar and spelling I'll also be on the lookout for awkward word or page breaks.

Hello & Welcome
My name is Stacy Singley. I am the sole editor and proofreader of Sing Editing. My life has evolved around my love of books and the written word. In 2016 I moved from Texas to Seattle so I could live in a place with weather that's more suitable for cozying up with a good book and a hot drink. Impulsive? Maybe. Best decision I've ever made? 100%. I've been proofreading and editing for friends and family for years. So, this year - after being laid off due to CoVid-19 - I decided to finally take the plunge, go back to class, and get certified so I could finally do what I love for a living.
